Here are a couple reminders when traveling to the open range:
- It is over 7,000 feet higher in elevation (over 1 mile)...much colder and harder to catch your breath.
- Warmer clothing and shoes other than flip flops are recommended!
- It is a criminal offence to pee in a national forest (but not for the animals), who knew?
- Wild animals are NOT your friend!
- There is absolutely NO cell phone, internet, etc....so the WHOLE world could be coming to an end and we wouldn't know it.
- It is okay to bring your children in a bar-believe it, I witnessed it firsthand.
- Every piece of clothing you bring home will smell like camp fire, even after you launder it in the river.
- No matter how many people argue with me "I live in the CITY and am soooo glad I am back home"!!!
