heads up!
Because I need more pictures of my children (yeah right), I decided to make this little display out of canvas for above our bed! Chris is just hoping the the extra "durable" crafty super glue stays intact and we don't get a little head trauma in the middle of the night when it decides it's met it's maximum capacity! I'm just proud I got it in a stud!!!!

at this moment...
- Daddy is making Saturday morning eggie sandwiches
- Piper is watching Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, drinking Clifford juice.
- Paige is trying to steal/eat cookies out of the cookie jar.
- Baxter is barking at the neighbors.
- I am trying to get motivated to go weed our flowerbeds (never ending job)!
Happy Saturday!

My latest hand-me-down!!
Do you like my new bench {Kelly was cleaning out her garage}~ I guess her trash is our treasure!!! The girls love it because "it opens and you can put as many toys in it as you want"~Piper.
Pictures are also an oldie but goodie given to me by my other BFF Jenn!!!
I'm soooo glad my friends have such great taste!

pitchforks, shovels and torches!
Awe, the wonderful things of home ownership!!! Nobody really warns you about the joys before you take the plunge (believe me, we've had our shares over the past 2 years...flooded basement, rotting siding, moles, etc...). And the whole kicker is you cannot pawn your problems off on your landlord anymore, because YOUR him!!!
The past, um lets say "landlords" of our home were obviously very green and planted every kind of exotic plant/tree you can imagine...including bamboo. And gradually we have been literally gutting out our flowerbeds to rid of all the nuisance. However, the bamboo is another story!
Everywhere you read bamboo is cherished, noted for it's beauty, strength, and the fastest growing plant in the world. I can totally attest to ALL of these , but do not feel these are attributes...they are actually the characteristics that give me night terrors and the fault of my insomnia (hence blogging at 3am).
Moral of the story, we came home to little baby sprouts in our backyard no where near the actual plants themselves. We were able to remove them and quickly discard them, but I am deathly afraid that one morning I will awaken to our whole neighborhood being infiltrated with these awful creatures. Are we past the point of inviting all the boys over with pitchforks, shovels and torches??? Is it legal to spray it with gasoline and light a match??? Or do we have to just bite the bullet and hire an excavator?

The Must Anticipated Wedding!
Just a glimpse of the J&K's wedding last weekend at Big Sky Montana!!! It was the most beautiful wedding and soooo much fun!
Congrats to the both of you, and we will be waiting to hear all the details from your fun honeymoon in Banff (I guess not ALL the details-ha, ha)!!

We've Gone Country...
...and am soooo glad we've come back!!!
Here are a couple reminders when traveling to the open range:
Here are a couple reminders when traveling to the open range:
- It is over 7,000 feet higher in elevation (over 1 mile)...much colder and harder to catch your breath.
- Warmer clothing and shoes other than flip flops are recommended!
- It is a criminal offence to pee in a national forest (but not for the animals), who knew?
- Wild animals are NOT your friend!
- There is absolutely NO cell phone, internet, etc....so the WHOLE world could be coming to an end and we wouldn't know it.
- It is okay to bring your children in a bar-believe it, I witnessed it firsthand.
- Every piece of clothing you bring home will smell like camp fire, even after you launder it in the river.
- No matter how many people argue with me "I live in the CITY and am soooo glad I am back home"!!!

Great Grandparents & Carousels!!!
Today we visited Great Grandpa Adam and Great Grandma Elsie and then off to Silver Bow Pizza to spend the $1.00 that they gave to us for the 100+ year old carousel!!! Piper wanted to ride all the animals, while Paige was content sitting on the bench!! And after 6 times around (whose counting, Chris?) Daddy had enough, and me kinda nauseous, it was time to go back to Grammie Sally and Papa Joe's for a movie and much needed nap!

30 reasons why I love my husband!
1.) He is the best bathroom cleaner in the world!
2.) "Old Blue" in the garage has never missed an oil change, but he ALWAYS seems to leave me with a blinking gas light.
3.) Has only had one cavity in his life...and he thinks I am the one who gave it to him!
4.) Never runs yellow lights.
5.) Bought reading glasses because I thought they were "sexy", and then ended up really needing them after they ruined his eyes.
6.) Stayed in college an extra 3 years (and continued to get degrees) waiting me to graduate so we could live forever in marital bliss!
7.) Spent a whole summer vacation (internship) in his grandparents old smelly camper trailer to afford to buy me a wedding ring.
8.) Let the Asian lady in the mall buzz cut his hair to a number "2" because I wouldn't spend the extra money to let my stylist do it (he now routinely goes to Alicia for all his hair needs)!
9.) Always kisses me goodnight!
10.) Was a total sympathy eater while I was pregnant with both of our children.
11.) {extension from #10} Went on Weight Watchers with me after Paige was born...and stuck to it!
12.) Will wear any color of work shirt I pick out.
13.) Washes the girl's hair {believe me, this is a HUGE job}!
14.) Got me an A+ in chemistry lab in college, because he is soOooO smart {he now tutors Katie [our nanny]}.
15.) Will not let me throw away his 15+ year old "Doc Martins".
16.) Would rather have me tickle his back than anything else in the world.
17.) Looks better in my high heel sandals than I do {long story short, in college when we worked at the pool together (and shoes were mandated) he broke his foot wearing my sandals on an emergency errand for me}.
18.) Is willing to watch 1 chick flick a month!
19.) Makes sure we get to church every week.
20.) He is great at yard work {and most of the time, doesn't complain about doing it}.
21.) Always starts the coffee maker in the morning, and usually drinks all the creamer.
22.) Makes the best "McSchweiggie" breakfast sandwiches on Saturday mornings.
23.) Is the best Daddy in the whole wide world!
24.) Makes better eggies, chili, steaks....hey wait a minute, he is just so great he should just do ALL the cooking!
25.) Took me to my high school dance (I didn't have a date otherwise) even though he was a junior in college.
26.) Is my best friend!
27.) Can add up any number in his head.
28.) Spends every birthday at someone else's function {like today}.
29.) He wakes up extra early to get us girls maple bars on Sunday mornings {now that I put this in writing...we eat really bad weekend breakfasts}!
30.) Even though I can be the biggest pain, he has vowed to spend the next 30+ years with me!
Happy 30th Birthday Chris!!

Same story, just told from a different point of view!
Hi! I am Mary's husband Chris and I have decided to hijack her blog and tell you why I decided we do not need a new bedroom set!!!
- I am a pain in the rear!
- I think it is okay to sleep on a mattress on the floor (for the rest of my life)!
- I LOVE oak, and we cannot come to a mutual agreement on wood craftsmanship!
- We NEVER need to buy any more clothing because we have NO place to put it!
- Where will I put my nightly water glass if we have new furniture (it's okay now because the water stains are already there)???
