Wow Wow Week!!!
I have not intentionally abandoned my blog, but as you can tell it has been a VERY exciting week with the Wubb Girlz premiering on Wow Wow Wubzy on Nick Jr.!
This particular cartoon my girls have grown to love, and even more so now that Beyonce has joined the cast! Shine, Shimmer and Sparkle are all they talk and sing about. Daily the girls wake up and apply glitter to their faces and ponies to their hair anticipating the show. And thanks to Chris (yeah right) he recorded them on DVR, so we can watch them whenever we like!! Piper went as far as doing the Wubb Girlz dance for "show and tell" at preschool yesterday! Poor Katie (and mommy)...we have created Wow Wow monsters!!!

Daddy & the little purple hoe!
This Sunday we again spent all day trying to "gut" out our backyard and get ready for the bark mulch run next weekend. We did pretty well especially with our new favorite lawn accessory, but Chris somehow always had it (the hoe, I mean).
It will be a long, sore night with all the battle wounds and sunburns, but will be worth it for all the fun summer nights and barbeque's, in which you are ALL invited!!!!

Go Rob Go!!!
Who would have thought that a small town boy from Butte, MT would now be catching for the Mariners, and now one of their biggest stars??? Kinda funny how you pass him in the hall in high school and 10 years past you see him all over the news headlining with Ichiro!!!
Being in Seattle Mariners country it is so awesome to watch and all I can say is "GO ROB GO", you make Butte proud!!!

Trolls & Secret Tunnels
Would you believe we have Trolls and Secret Tunnels in our neighborhood?? According to Piper & Paige...there is and they can prove it!!!
Yesterday, Katie took the girls on a fun filled adventure nature walk and she brought lots of goodies from home to play with! I cannot wait to see where they go and what they find today!!! :)

Smores in April???
I don't quite remember whose idea it was to make Smores on the grill, but it kind of brought back old Girl Scout nightmares as a child (that's a whole different story and another blog)!
It all started well until Chris put his mouth on a hot grilling utensil. He ended up burning the whole roof of his mouth and lip~kinda looks like I socked him right in the chopper (and to be brutally honest, he probably wishes that was the case...ouch!!!).
So again, I don't think my Girl Scout (or better yet) his Boy Scout instincts were quite up to par and I can chalk this one up in my list of reasons I should never be a "Brownie". And another reason why we should leave the Smores to the experts!!!

Parks "R" Us (and a little house paint)!
After Chris removed the screen door late last evening, I was able to fill and paint the trim surrounding the door...and finally my 1st very own wood door all finished and nothing stands in it's (or my) way!!!
It was so beautiful this afternoon that we decided to follow the paint job with a fun trip to the park...again, but with our friends from down the street! So here goes, more fun park pictures!!!

Ice cream, parks, and obedience school!
After a long day of yard work, no naps and church, we decided to go to the Dairy Queen for a fun treat and to the park to practice our newly learned obedience tricks with Baxter.
The girls spent most of the time on the jungle gym while Chris worked with Baxter. He did remarkably well until I took over the reigns (he still thinks he's higher than me on the food chain, and to be brutally honest...he's probably right!).
We finally left with two overtired, crying girls and two crabby, overtired parents (not to mention names...Chris)!

Homesick for my bed!
Now that we're all done being sick (again)...things are starting to get back to normal. Piper no longer sleeps with her tongue sticking out (either a cold sore or too much candy) and Paige's ear infections are almost gone. Whew, all I have left to do is get the humidifier and the girlies back in their homes (aka beds), so mommy and daddy can get some sleep!!

Happy Easter!
Today started out with sickie girls and no sleep, so Daddy had to go to church and the doughnut run by himself. He brought home the most beautiful flowers and bunny cake, however we had a casualty with the cake on the way home (note to Daddy...don't put the cake in a plastic sac, it tips)!
Paigey also made me the most beautiful Easter card, however, only I can read what it says!
The day finished with me pretending to be "Susie housewife" in the kitchen with a wonderful spread and lots of good eats, I might add!!!
~Happy Easter to all, and to all a good night (hopefully)!!!

Eggstravaganza 2009!
In preparation for the Easter bunny on Saturday night, we decided to dye eggs this evening! And OHHH the fun we had (you can only imagine...dye, two children and an adventurous and over creative husband {for tonight, that is})! They actually turned out quite nice, and most importantly...NO accidents!!
After all was clean and back in the refrig, we all went to bed early in preparation for the big annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt, and most importantly Tim (the contractor) to come put in our wood door!!!!! Pictures to follow, I PROMISE!!!
