Paige had her 1st day of pre-k today after a VERY long summer of anticipation (her, not me)! She wanted to wear braids in her hair, a flower to match and bring her backpack filled with preschool necessities (extra pair of socks, legwarmers, her favorite doll and a snack). Being orientation today (45 minutes), the parents were asked to stay; and in true Schweigert girl tradition Paigey politely asked me to "go get coffee with my friend"-nice!

Honestly, can't believe she is off to school. Life goes by so quickly, and the kids are the happiness of grandparent's hearts. Thanks, Mary, for all the pictures!
