Things I've learned from my Grandma Rosie
- how to laugh at myself
- how to wear high heel shoes
- how to find and marry the most stubborn German we could find (mind you, they both have the initials C.S.~coincidence...I think not).
- that it's okay to have a watch for every outfit
- how to eat dessert first
- how to roll my hair in rollers (I don't know how you ever slept in those things)
- how to make time for much needed "girl time" (be it a tee time, a shopping trip or bridge game)
- the art of accessorizing
- to take things "day by day"
- TJ Maxx (need I say more???)
Happy 90th birthday Rosie (March 1st)...we LOVE you!!

I just couldn't wait!
It all started with a can of spray paint...
...an idea from a friend (Jen...thanks), an ugly floral mirror, a working husband, and the need to have a matching red accent piece (which by the way is still drying in the garage, hey it had nicks and dings in it anyway)! Will post pic's after my husband calms down about the newly painted graffiti in HIS "garage" in HIS most favorite color...RED. Oops!!

Vancouver 2010...no more cowbell!
With the Olympic Games being so close to home, we decided to spend today in Canada taking it all in. After a short drive over the border, we hopped on the sky train to downtown right in the midst of all the action. Out of all the fun souvenirs to purchase, my children decided the "cowbell" would be the very best (which made a LONG ride home for Chris and I and everyone on the train)!!!

Lucky, I guess!
Could it be luck, faith, karma or all of the above that got us to where we are today? We have so many blessings to be thankful for, where do we begin?!
In our monthly tradition of finding blessings in everyday life, again we are going to continue the trend and use St. Patrick as our guide (being so close to his special holiday, and all). You too are encouraged to participate!!
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.~Irish Blessing

40 days of sack lunches!
In keeping with the New Year theme of budget, I decided to give up eating cafeteria food at work and pack my lunch instead. And after seeing my girlfriends cute designer lunch totes, this Lent challenge won't be so difficult. Hey, I may even loose a few pounds too (hopefully)!
