Today I ran my very first half marathon (13.1 miles) with some of my most favorite people. Setting a personal goal of mine (both finishing and running a pace of 9:50/mile), I am ecstatic beyond words. Thanks also to my great family for "tailgating" and cheering me through one of my lifelong goals!

Teamwork Trek '12

This afternoon was the annual elementary school running fundraiser, and this year even I participated. Running totals: Piper 19 laps, Paige 14 laps and Momma 22.5 laps.

Ahoy Ye Matey

The second graders celebrated "pirate day" today at school. Such things as a treasure chest left by a real pirate and his footsteps, pirate activities and "real life" pirate books is how they spent the day.
