Everything she needs to know...

Piper learned in Kindergarten!

Today is the beginning, the start, the first of many. She no longer needs me to hold her hand, to be the one to read to her (she reads to me), she no longer requires me to walk her into school, she brushes her own hair and teeth, pours her own milk, ties her own laces, and decides what she will wear for the day.

Today Piper is a 1st grader!

Chris & his "camping hat"

The only thing Chris wanted for his birthday this year was a "camping hat" to match the girls' he bought earlier this spring. Being an engineer (and in Chris fashion) he had a few requirements; it must be waterproof, be able to float, made of Gortex material, rain, sun, and wind proof, and to match his Gortex coat we bought for him last year!

We decided to "jokingly" make his special hat instead and test out all the requirements. In the end it didn't quite meet inspection and so we indeed had to bring that embarrassing list to all the sport stores of B'ham!!

This, along with many other reasons is why we love our engineer Daddy!!
