I didn't want to, but something told me I had to!

I debated long and hard today whether or not to post the leaked third trailer to the much anticipated Twilight New Moon premiere mainly because most of you probably think this twi~mom has gone over the deep end (to be brutally honest, I didn't know there was a third until I overheard someone talking at the beauty salon this morning...I swear). But something was telling me otherwise when I stumbled across a new color lipstick from Clinique (Twilight Nude) and a brand of sweaters (Ruby Moon) during my errands today. And yes, I do know that they are fictional characters, but thought that some of the other Twilight fans I know would also enjoy this fun little sneak peak.

We remember!

It was eight years ago (my final semester of nursing school) that I sat in Advanced Medical/Surgical nursing watching as the 2nd tower of the World Trade Center came crashing down. Our lecture for the day consisted of triage and emergency nursing and different lessons in natural disaster relief. But all I could think of was the nurses, doctors, policemen, firemen, military (and all other civil servants) and their continued commitment to save lives. They continued to work (day in and day out) without breaks, meals, even rest to care for all those involved. And the sick continued to come.
We remember 9/11 and continue to ever thank all involved for their undoubted patriotic heroism. I am proud to say that I am an American and that we continue to live in a free country because of them.

Late night talks!

As I arrived home from work tonight (10:30ish), I was pleasantly surprised that my beautiful 2 year old was still awake awaiting for my arrival. And just like her mother and grandmother and great~grandmother have done for so many years, a late night chat and little snack were in order. So a Hagen's leftover submarine sandwich, a glass of warm milk, and a quick recap of the day is all it took for my little dolly to unwind and finally fall asleep.
I look forward to many late night chats with my girls and to carry on the tradition that has always been the right remedy for those nights you just couldn't sleep.

I'll miss you old yella...

...but don't you worry one bit because as soon as it is time again I will bring you out of hibernation (secret location) and once again we can be reunited when the rain is gone and the sun begins to shine (you know how it is in the pacific northwest). But for now, Labor Day is over...happy Fall and good bye to my favorite yellow accessory!!!!!

Lazy Day, Labor Day...

...well sort of! After having friends over on Saturday and friends over again on Sunday and hard core shopping for new kitchen appliances on Monday (so much for Labor Day sales, not), we were absolutely pooped and decided to spend the rest of the afternoon outside with Baxter and Ghosty!!

My ballerina girls!

My little ballerina girls had their first lesson this morning. Paige went first (Piper stayed to be the big helper) and then Piper went afterward while Paige and I ran errands! I am soooooo proud of my beautiful little swans!

First Crush!

This is the card the girls got yesterday from their new boyfriend Peter. They especially love it because they got to color the wiener dog with polka dots!
