BUSTED!

I'm completely speechless, except for the fact that we've come so far since the peeing on the Schwan's man days!

My kids can sew better than I can!

Because I am such a Susie housewife, and missed the home economics class in high school, I decided to throw a morning makeup class and an afternoon sewing lesson for my girls (hence the neutral palette they are wearing on their eyes)!!! It was a fun-filled girls day doing girly things!

P.S. (for Katie) Don't look at the finished castle picture, Piper wanted to give it to you when you come back from your vacation!!!

This is a recipe a friend and I tried from the most current Martha Stewart Living July/August 2009 edition. In the most current version of this recipe they grilled the peaches instead of roasting them, which (of course) I could not find online, so I downloaded this instead!!! It is the same ingredients (except I think they substituted brown for white sugar), we just grilled cocooned in parchment-lined foil for 15 mins on high heat (like the current recipe states).

The tribe has spoken!

It was a dead even tie before Baxter made the final decision on my latest cheap find from TJ Maxx. And to be brutally honest, I think it made him nauseous because he threw up ALL over it!! But something good did come from this whole experience, I am able to salvage the olive colored draperies, sheets, and throw pillows that will go absolutely perfect with my new set coming from Crate & Barrel!!!

The lesson learned is always go with your first instinct and maybe the cheapest deal isn't always the cheapest way to go (when you end up purchasing both because the first didn't work out)!!!

Fun Fishy Day!!!

Today we took a "just girls" trip down to the Seattle Aquarium with Kelda, and oh the fun we had with all the fish, sea otters, and real life divers...just to name a few!!! After a long morning of more fish than we could handle we went to Anthony's on the Pier for lunch and then off to University Village for a "small dose" of Crate & Barrel (note in the picture how much fun Piper and Paige had while Kelda and I were in dream land)!!! We should take "just girl" trips more often!!!
